Bitter shadows dance across my heart,
The jaded memory of you and I,
As I let my heart go into the wind,
Embracing the future with a smile,
Guilded from the lights above,
I unbind myself from you,
Past moments are brought to the present,
That silent breath awakens my heart,
Your hand upon my breast of movement,
Lifted the pain of your nearest look,
The long lasting sigh of your stare guides me away,
Tears fall apart from my face,
Cracked skin begins to heal,
The bittersweet of goodbyes fades,
Light has blanketed the darkness,
A door has closed and a new one opens,
Beneath my feet the sand collects between my toes,
The air cyclones around me,
My hair wraps around my body,
Goosebumps form and fade,
Light shines upon the blank words of my decolorized face,
A look that will no longer embrace mine,
A heart that will no longer touch mine,
I fall to my knees,
Pulling the knife out of my back,
Hands upon the ground grasping for eternity,
Fear has fallen, Chains have broken,
My Smile has returned.
